How to get a good night’s sleep

Having suffered with chronic fatigue syndrome as a young adult, followed by having children with various sleep issues, Maryanne understands first-hand how a lack of sleep can impact on daily life, health and wellbeing.

She developed a keen interest, initially in children’s sleep and became certified as a Gentle Sleep Coach in 2009, followed by advanced training with the International Parenting & Health Institute. She spent many years helping and supporting families with their children’s sleep, as well as giving talks and workshops on all aspects of sleep for children of all ages.

Her interest in sleep continued further and due to her own personal journey with sleep, her extensive work with parents, and being asked on many occasions, Maryanne decided to expand her work in 2015 to adolescent and adult sleep.

She completed a comprehensive Integrative Adult Sleep Coach Certification programme, followed by CBT for Insomnia training through the NHS. She sees clients on a one to one basis, developing personalised sleep programmes; runs insomnia groups and delivers many webinars and sessions relating to all aspects of sleep.

She is a member of the British Sleep Society and the International Association for Sleep Consultants.
