A warm welcome!

I’m so excited that The Midlife Festival is back by popular demand for a third year!

We welcomed more than 13,000 of you to last year’s event and this year I’m so proud that we are expecting over 20,000 to attend!

After our inaugural event in 2021, we had such incredible feedback from women telling us they found it ‘life-changing’, ‘full of positivity’, ‘inspiring’ and ‘enlightening’ and that our guest speakers were ‘absolutely first class’, so I was determined to ensure that this would become a regular annual flagship event in our calendar. And I’m very confident that this years line up of speakers are most definitely going to leave a similar impression on all of you too.

Now for those of you who may not know me, I thought I would also take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I’m Katie Taylor and I’m the founder of The Latte Lounge – the online community for women over 40.

I created our platform 7 years ago due to suffering for 4 years (from the age of 43), with debilitating perimenopausal symptoms. You can read my full story here.

I decided to set up a Facebook group to help other women like myself find support through perimenopause & menopause as, back then there was nobody talking about it and I didn’t want anyone else to suffer in silence like I had.

Our Facebook group has expanded organically to more than 25,000 members, we have an ever growing community on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn, plus a podcast (Midlife & Menopause Uncovered), a private membership for those that need a little extra support and we also work with many corporate partners to provide menopause in the workplace support and training. Of course we also have our brilliant website, which is full of masses of free resources and is backed by a team of medical experts too.

Married for almost 30 years with four children, I feel like I have pretty much seen it all when it comes to understanding, and experiencing, all the many different challenges that the sandwich generation brings.

From parenting kids and caring for ageing parents, to nurturing relationships while also working and running a home, there are so many different demands for us all to juggle.

Throw into the mix our fluctuating hormones, and with our own health and wellbeing needs usually left to the bottom of a never-ending ‘to-do’ list, it’s no wonder that so many of us find it difficult to cope.

So that’s where ‘The Latte Lounge’ steps in – to shine a spotlight on the woman in the middle. A safe and confidential space, providing support and a sense of community. We are so much more than the menopause – we are here to help all women over 40 to thrive in midlife and beyond. And that’s why I created The Midlife Festival, so we can learn from some of the worlds leading experts and leave feeling inspired, empowered and ready to embrace, and celebrate this next chapter in our lives!

Really hope you enjoy it all, and looking forward to seeing you in The Lounge some day soon too!

P.s. please do let all of your friends and family know about the festival – its FREE for all to join for the entire week!
